Willem Röntgen

Imagine the invisible becoming visible… In 1895, Apeldoorn scientist Willem Röntgen discovered that you can see through people’s skin. A discovery that has had major consequences to this day. This was not only preceded by chance and experiment, but also by a large dose of curiosity and drive that Willem had from an early age. With his discovery, this ‘ordinary’ boy from Apeldoorn became world famous.

In the Röntgen Pavilion [X-ray Pavilion] at CODA in Apeldoorn, you can discover what he meant for Apeldoorn and the rest of the world. In this new pavilion, his laboratory is recreated in a dark and exciting environment and children are playfully challenged to discover.

With a museum, library, archive and an ExperienceLab, CODA is the cultural centre of Apeldoorn. A source of inspiration in the field of literature, art and history – right in the heart of the city. Discover the most beautiful stories, experience the history of Apeldoorn and taste the culture.

Planemos designed the pavilion and the games and asked me to develop graphics for this pavilion.
